bio

Jacquelyn Tepper is a freelance dance artist (dancer and movement director) from Los Angeles, CA. They received their MA with Distinction from London Contemporary Dance School and has subsequently freelanced between the concert and commercial scenes. They currently tour with LYNKS doing dancing and backup vocals and will be performing with WTRGRL for her headline London show in October. With a growing body of work for film, they danced for Holly Blakey's Fact Magazine commission of "PHANTOM", Lea Tirabasso's "A Million Eyes" shown in London and Luxembourg and Malik Nashad Sharpe's "TWO TRACKS AND A MIX" alongside work by emerging artists, such as Elettra Guinta dance film "To Hold My Love" releasing later this year. They have choreographed for LYNKS music video "New Boyfriend", movement directed for Mandy, Indiana's most recent music video "Drag" and danced for Kay Young, J Onyx, and Night Tapes music videos. Additionally, they have appeared in commercial work for House of Hackney. Jacquelyn is an avid collaborator, bringing their unique style, various movement languages, speed for choreography pick-up, incredibly strong work ethic and energy to all research processes involved in developing new work with an artist. Across London and Los Angeles they have trained in ballet, jazz, modern, contemporary, heels, African, floor-work, and danced on two hip-hop crews in Chicago. They continue to supplement their artistry with previous trainings from Ate9, Galen Hooks, Flockworks, BODYTRAFFIC, TAVAZIVA, and Gaga intensives. Outside of dance, Jacquelyn loves to be outdoors hiking, backpacking, climbing, swimming, and biking -- anything in the sun.
